1. Installation and System Requirements
---------------------------------------
To install WarpTris, run the REXX installation script Install.CMD.
The install program will ask you, on which directory you want the WarpTris
files to reside. If the path you specify is a new one, the install program
will try to create it, and then copy all the necessary files to it.
After copying the WarpTris files, it will create a folder on your Desktop,
with two program objects, and two shadows: one for this README file and the
other for the WhatsNew file. The first program object references the
WarpTris.EXE file, and the second program object references the WarpTris.INF
file.
If you already have an older version of WarpTris, just specify the directory
where it resides, the installation script will replace the old WarpTris folder
with a new one, and it will preserve the old high scores and settings.
The install program will inform you, what he's doing along the way, and
will also inform you of any error occurred, during the installation process.
Note 1: WarpTris requires that you have the OS/2 Multimedia installed. On
the next release of WarpTris I'll try to remove this limitation.
Note 2: No mather which path you specify for the installation, the old
WarpTris folder will be replaced by the new one.
2. License Agreement
--------------------
For the purposes of this license agreement, the files that come with WarpTris
(WarpTris.EXE, Scores.INI, WarpTris.INI, Pop.WAV, High.WAV, Over.WAV,
WarpTris.HLP, WarpTris.INF, Install.CMD, README) will be referred from now
on, as WarpTris.

3. Known Bugs and Limitations
-----------------------------
o WarpTris needs the OS/2 Multimedia to run.
o The bugs discovered are corrected on this release.
(See WhatsNew file)
4. Bug Reporting
----------------
If you find any bugs, on this program, please E-mail me at
pcamara@geocities.com or at dm03mi@antero.uac.pt, with
a description of the bug.
I will try my best to correct it, and update the version of
the program on the Internet.
Thanks in advance.
5. WarpTris History
-------------------
The original idea of the game belongs to my former teacher, Dr. Gunther Funk,
who taught me C/C++ for a year at the University of Azores, where I study
Mathematics/Computer Science.
Initialy I developed a DOS version of the game, with another colleague, with
the purpose of academic evaluation on C++. Later, on the summer, came the
idea of developing a full version of the game, for my favorite OS ( OS/2 :-)),
this time the intention was to learn PM programming, so this game is also my
first PM program.
Since this is my first PM program I decided to make it FREEWARE, or better
PostcardWare, which means I am looking forward to receive my first Postcard
from someone around the World, who uses this game and likes it, but this is
**NOT REQUIRED**, although it would be nice. I'm open to suggestions, for
next releases. I'm also saving to buy books on PM programming, so any
contribution you would like to send me, (which I assure you will be spent
exclusively with OS/2) will be very much appreciated, again this is
**NOT REQUIRED**.
If you want, you can E-mail me at pcamara@geocities.com or at
dm03mi@antero.uac.pt, although I would prefer a postcard (or both).
You can also visit my personal Home Page at Geocities, the URL follows:
http://www.geocities.com/SiliconValley/Heights/1856
There you'll find some information about me, and the latest version
of WarpTris.
You can send your Postcard/Contribution to the address below:
Rua Joao Chagas, 32
9560 Rosario-Lagoa
S.Miguel-Azores
PORTUGAL
Thanks in advance.
6. WarpTris Releases
--------------------
3/12/96 - WarpTris 1.0 first release.
12/05/97 - WarpTris 1.01 corrected some minor bugs,
and added Num Lock independence. (See WhatsNew file)
7. WarpTris Wish List
---------------------
o A background MIDI music (Suggested by Michael McPherson)
o A sound when a full line is removed (Suggested by Ricardo Pinho)
o A customizable game window.
8. Special Thanks
-----------------
Special thanks to my friend Jorge Cipriano, for giving me both moral and
technical support, during the making of this game. He was also the Alpha,
Beta, and Final version tester, and responsible for the distribution of this
game over the Internet.
I thank him specially for being the person who first showed me OS/2, my OS
of election for PC.
Remember once you've seen the light (a.k.a. OS/2), there's no turning back!
I also would like to thank my girlfriend Nelia, for her support, and for
providing the "Game Over" giggle soundtrack.
This game is dedicated to her.
